KÖHL s.à r.l. Acquires IDS Elektro GmbH

Wecker / Leipzig, September 3, 2024 – KÖHL s.à r.l. (“KÖHL”), a 100% subsidiary of the Adeleon Familienholding, has retroactively acquired IDS Elektro GmbH (“IDS”) in Leipzig as of January 1, 2024. This strategic acquisition reinforces KÖHL and Adeleon’s position in energy distribution and opens significant growth opportunities.

Andreas Leo-Schnatalle, Managing Director of IDS Elektro GmbH, is also enthusiastic about joining KÖHL: “I couldn’t have wished for a better outcome for IDS and our employees. We are thrilled to pursue our goals within KÖHL.”

KÖHL specializes in developing and producing advanced energy distribution systems and complex control solutions. With the acquisition of IDS, founded in 2018 and evolved from a Siemens subcontractor to an independent control cabinet manufacturer, KÖHL gains an additional production site in Leipzig. IDS, which employs around 40 people, will continue as an independent entity under the leadership of Managing Director Andreas Leo-Schnatalle.
